Safeguarding

Safeguarding 2023-06-15T12:31:16+00:00

At Giffnock we apply safeguarding standards beyond the minimum requirements of our three governing bodies. We recognise the importance of providing all members with a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment in which to play, train and socialise. Where we get this right, members, young and old, are able to have fun and enjoy their club to its fullest potential.
Members can find all our policies, and associated procedures, in the GTSHC Welfare Policies and Procedures document here:

This document has 9 sections, each covering a specific area of policy as follows:

  1. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Safeguarding Policy (child and adult at risk) – see pages 3 to 11
  2. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Equality and Diversity (Inclusion) Policy – see pages 12 to 21
  3. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Changing Room Policy – see pages 22 to 23
  4. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Photography and Recording Policy – see pages 24 to 26
  5. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Social Media Policy – see pages 27 to 28
  6. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Anti-Bullying Policy – see pages 29 to 31
  7. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Code of Conduct – see pages 32 to 34
  8. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club Privacy Policy – see pages 35 to 42
  9. Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club GDPR Privacy Notice – see pages 43 to 51

Any member with a safeguarding concern is encouraged to speak to our Welfare Officer (CWPO), Daljeet Dagon. Please email welfare@giffnock-ltc.co.uk or call 07790473750. All safeguarding reports are treated in the strictest confidence and in accordance with relevant club policies.
Members should also know that all club coaches, bar staff and committee members are all trained in identifying safeguarding issues and will know what to do if approached by a member with a concern. The more trained eyes and ears we have at the club, the safer the environment we create for everyone.
